Involved with the sport of gymnastics for about 40 years, Virginia Conklin has been named the Assistant Gymnastics Coach for Centenary for the 2019 season.

A competitive gymnast for the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program for more than a decade, her coaching career started while she was still in high school - coaching both gymnastics and competitive cheerleader. Although she has had numerous other jobs throughout the years, including a family counselor, preschool director, preschool Spanish teacher, and directing of accounting and human resources, she continued to coach gymnastics at the same time.

Conklin graduated from LSU Shreveport with a degree in sociology. She has been married to her husband, Jed, for 26 years.
