Jackie Fain, who was at helm of the Ladies gymnastics program for 11 seasons, now embarks on her 13th year as a member of the Centenary athletic department in her new role as the associate director of athletics.

A veteran of collegiate athletics for more than 20 years, Fain has held a variety of positions. Along with her coaching duties, she has served as the SWA at Centenary since 2015. Additionally, she has held key leadership roles on institutional and national committees; including serving on the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Board of Directors, the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Rules and Championship Committee, and as co- chair of both the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championship Committee and the Judges Assigning Committee.

Fain was named the Regional Coach of the Year by the WCGA in 2020, earning the honor following a vote by her fellow head coaches. The award is the second major honor Fain has garnered in her tenure with the Ladies as she was named the 2013 Midwest Independent Conference Coach of the Year. The 2021 season was highlighted by Fain leading sophomore Taylor Ann Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.) to the individual uneven bars title at the 2021 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championship. This was the first national championship title at Centenary during the DIII era.

Prior to joining Centenary Fain worked as the first assistant coach at Midwest Independent Conference foe, Texas Woman's University, from 2001-07. During her time there, Fain helped lead the Pioneers to two national championships and a conference championship. She was a two-time USA Gymnastics Assistant Coach of the Year, named WCGA Division II Assistant Coach of the Year and MIC Conference Assistant Coach of the Year during her six-year stint.

Fain began her collegiate studies at the University of Kentucky and competed for the Wildcats gymnastics team. Fain was just the second gymnast at UK to receive a full scholarship for gymnastics, she held the school record in every event - including All-Around, and was UK's first nationally ranked gymnast (16th).

Along with her coaching and student-athlete accolades, Fain is a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, and has held a national rating as a gymnastics judge since 1992.

Fain earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and Christian Leadership from Colorado Christian University and her Masters of Science in Sports Management from American Public University.

Fain resides in Bossier with her husband Dan. They have three children; Kinny, Aaron, daughter Tedi, and two granddaughters.
