Primeaux And Livesay Named To SCAC Championship All-Tournament Team

Cleburne, Texas - Senior All-American RHP Parker Primeaux (Lake Charles, La.) and freshman OF Carson Livesay (Lafayette, La.) were named to the 2023 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship All-Tournament Team, the league office has announced.

Primeaux, named First-Team All-SCAC this season, pitched a complete game in the Diamond Gents' 5-4 victory in an elimination game on Saturday over Southwestern as he allowed just three earned runs with two walks and eight strikeouts in his nine innings of work.

Primeaux finished the season a perfect 8-0 with a 2.13 ERA in 19 appearances (nine starts) and had three saves and three complete games. He struck out 75 and walked just 24 in 84.1 innings pitched. He entered the conference tournament as the league leader in innings pitched, second in appearances, second in wins, second in saves, and sixth in strikeouts.

He was named the SCAC Pitcher of the Week once this season and needs just one save to tie former All-American Taylor Henry for the all-time program record (17) in the division III era (2012-present).

Livesay, who earned Honorable-Mention All-SCAC honors, finished his rookie season with a team-high .388 batting average, led in on-base percentage (.469) and finished second in slugging % (.525). In 34 games played and 139 at-bats, he finished with 54 hits (tied for team lead) and had a team-high 41 runs scored with 20 RBI (fifth on team).

He had nine doubles, two triples, two home runs, and 13 stolen bases in 17 attempts. He had 17 multi-hit games this season including eight 3-hit performances. He was 4-12 (.333) with two RBI, three walks, two runs scored, a double, home run, and stolen base in Cleburne this past weekend.
