Cody Crowder enters his third season with the program following another successful season by the Diamond Gents in 2023.

Centenary finished 23-15 overall and 13-7 in SCAC play, earning the No. 3 seed in the SCAC Championship in Cleburne, Texas. Ten players were named to the All-SCAC Team and two made the SCAC Championship All-Tournament squad. The Diamond Gents hit .301 as a team and averaged six runs per game. Centenary finished the season scoring double digit runs in a game 10 times and posted 10+ hits in a game an impressive 22 times. 

Crowder, who began the 2021 season as a volunteer coach, was elevated to Assistant Coach & Recruiting Coordinator on Feb. 1, 2022. He finished his career in 2021 as one of the most decorated players in the D3 era of the program and holds a multitude of all-time individual program records.

Crowder capped his record-breaking Diamond Gents’ career with a stellar senior season as he ranked in the top 10 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in 11 individual statistical categories. He was named to the 2021 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III West All-Region Team, making the Third Team and also named a Third Team selection on the 2021 D3baseball.com West All-Region Team.

He earned First-Team All-SCAC honors as an outfielder as he batted .331 with a .467 on-base percentage and a team-best .558 slugging percentage. He led the conference in total plate appearances, runs scored, and triples, was second in doubles, and third in total bases and hit by pitches. He ranked fifth in the league in stolen bases as he swiped 16 bags and was caught only once. He was named SCAC Hitter of the Week on March 25 and recorded 14 multi-hit games and had 10 games with two RBI or more. Crowder had 23 extra-base hits including 14 doubles. He earned the honor for the second time in his career after also being named to the Third Team as a freshman in 2017.

He helped guide the Diamond Gents to an NCAA Tournament appearance following a conference tournament title in 2022. Centenary finished 27-19 and 14-7 in SCAC play and had 10 players earn all-conference honors.
