Ellen Reid-LeClair enters her third season as head coach of Centenary’s competitive cheer and dance teams. 

Reid-LeClair, a native of Kilgore, Texas, joined the Centenary athletic department in June 2019 and also serves as the athletic department’s Spirit Coordinator. 

The Centenary Dance team competed in the first competition in program history on March 27, 2021 as the Leading Ladies took part in the American Dance/Drill Team American Collegiate Championships in Arlington, Texas. Centenary competed against eight teams which included UT Tyler, UT Dallas, Dallas Baptist, and Texas Wesleyan. Centenary's cheer squad was able to entertain the home crowd at Mayo Field this past spring for soccer matches along with Skeeter, the official mascot.

Reid-LeClair spent two years as the head cheerleading coach at the University of West Alabama and was also the assistant dance coach prior to coming to Shreveport. In addition to her coaching duties, she managed the team's social media accounts and provided logistical support for event operations. In addition to her coaching duties at West Alabama, Reid-LeClair worked as a graduate assistant in the student affairs office. She represented the institution at college fairs, helped with the promotional team for Tigers athletics, and assisted in planning, organizing, and working events for student affairs and student life. Prior to her time at West Alabama, Reid-LeClair worked as the community events coordinator for the Brazos Valley Bombers collegiate summer league baseball team in Bryan, Texas. She also interned at both KBTX News in College Station and KLTV News in Tyler.

In high school, Reid-LeClair cheered and was the captain of the school's dance team. She also competed at USASF Dance Worlds Competition twice in hip-hop. Reid-LeClair cheered at Mississippi State University on the All-Girl Squad before transferring to Texas A&M University where she cheered on the All-Girl Competitive Squad. During her first year at TAMU, Reid-LeClair was awarded Rookie of the Year on the cheer team, and competed at NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida all three years at TAMU.

Reid-LeClair graduated from Texas A&M in 2017, majoring in communication and minoring in journalism. In 2019, she obtained her master's degree in student affairs in higher education from West Alabama.
