Jordan Captures MIC Performance, Centenary Athlete of the Week Honors

SHREVEPORT, La. – After a big weekend – which included a pair of wins on floor – senior Navia Jordan received a pair of honors. Having been named Centenary Athlete of the Week for the second time in 2019, Jordan received Midwest Independent Conference Performance of the Week honors Wednesday, February 6.

Against Texas Woman's on Friday in the Gold Dome, Jordan began the night with a career high of 9.575 on vault. However, she finished the competition strong with a season high of 9.850 on floor to pick up an event win.

On Sunday against Gustavus Adolphus, a Ladies 190.375-192.725 win, Jordan received a 9.825 on floor for her second win on the event in as many competitions.

For the season, Jordan leads NCAA Division III and is 10th in the MIC with a 9.760 average score on floor.  

Centenary returns to action in two weeks when it takes on Lindenwood on February 24 in St. Charles, Missouri.
