Jordan Ends Her Ladies Gymnastics Career Runner-Up on Floor, Third on Beam, at USAG Championships

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. – Two days after receiving her third and fourth USA Gymnastics All-American honors of her collegiate career, Navia Jordan received runner-up honors on floor and third place on beam in the event finals to finish out her Centenary Gymnastics career at the USA Gymnastics Championships on Sunday afternoon, April 14.

Jordan performed eighth in the competition on beam, matching a career high for the second-straight meet with a 9.850 and move into the second position at the time behind eventual winner Kaitlin Green (9.900) of Cornell. Anna Kaziska later received a 9.875 to bump Jordan down to third on the apparatus.

Performing last in the meet on floor, Jordan received two 9.900s and a 9.850 and 9.800. After the highest and lowest scores where dropped, the middle two were averaged as she matched a season high for the second-straight meet with a 9.875. Tyler Davis of Air Force won the championship with a 9.950.

In qualifying for event finals on beam and floor, Jordan earned First Team All-American accolades on both events. Jordan also finished runner-up on floor last season at the USAG Championships, also receiving All-American honors her freshman season. Freshman Kendall Sanders, finishing as an alternate on floor in Friday's first session, also earned Second Team All-American recognition.

This concludes the 2019 season for Centenary Gymnastics.
