SHREVEPORT, La. - Centenary College Gents basketball and first-year head coach Chris Dorsey is pleased to announce the final three incoming players for the 2017-18 season on Monday, August 14.
The final three players the second addition of the class from Florida (Dylan Angel) an NCAA Division I transfer from Green Bay (Kaharri Carter), and an addition from the Pelican State (Raylon Hardy)
Here is a closer look on all three players:
Dylan Angel
Freshman / Guard

Tampa, Fla. / Freedom HS
Angel played both point and shooting guard at Freedom High School in Tampa, Florida. He helped the Patriots to three District Championships and two Regional Runner-up honor as a starter for three seasons (Freedom lost in the Regional Finals to future Utah Jazz player Tony Bradley's team twice). Other awards Angel received include the Patriot Award, the Heart and Hustle Award, and received the All-Honors Academic Letter.
Angel is the son of Ken and Charlette Angel. At Centenary, he is majoring in business.
Coach Dorsey on Dylan Angel: I'm excited that Dylan has chosen to be a part of the Centenary family. He has a great work ethic and experience playing at a high level. His ability to hit the outside shot will make a tremendous impact for us offensively. Because of his long length and ability to defend, he will be able to play multiple positions and should be a huge asset for us as a freshman.
Kaharri Carter
Junior / Forward

Minneapolis, Minn. / Green Bay
Carter spent the 2016-17 season at NCAA Division I Green Bay of the Horizon League. For high school at Minnehaha Academy, he played both guard and forward for head coach Lance Johnson and helped the Redhawks win a State Championship. Academically, he was named to the 2015 Dean's List.
The son of Randy and Lisa Carter, he has two brothers, Brian Sandifer and Chase Carter. At Centenary, he is majoring in business.
Coach Dorsey on Kaharri Carter: Kaharri will be a great addition to what we are trying to build at Centenary. He's an all-around talented player with extreme athleticism. His NCAA Division 1 experience will help him fit in perfectly to the style and pace that we want to play. In addition, he's a work horse that will make us very strong on the defensive end. Looking toward the future, It's exciting to know that we will have him a part of the program for the next two years!
Raylon Hardy
Freshman / Guard

New Orleans, La. / Hahnville HS
Hardy played guard for the Tigers at Hahnville HS. Academically, he won the Presidential Award, was Summa Cum Laude twice and Magna Cum Laude once.
The son of Ronald and Paulette Hardy, he has two brothers, Rontre and Romell. At Centenary, he is majoring in engineering.
Coach Dorsey on Raylon Hardy: We have added a lot of forwards for the upcoming season, so I am proud that we finish off the 2017 class with a guard. It is also a plus we were able to stay close to home and pick up a student-athlete from the state of Louisiana. I am looking forward to watching Raylon grow as a basketball and a person for the next four years.
