LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – On Monday, June 17, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offices announced that 18 Ladies and Gents student-athletes were named to the conference Honor Roll following the 2019 spring semester.
SEGUIN, Texas – The Centenary Gents Basketball team received multiple honors when the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference released the All-Conference teams late Saturday night, February 23, after the semifinals of the 2019 Conference Tournament Semifinals.

SEGUIN, Texas – After knocking off Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Champion Texas Lutheran for the second time on the year last Sunday, the Gents Basketball team (13-12) earned the third seed in the upcoming SCAC Tournament, Friday February 22-Sunday, February 24.
The tournament will be contested at Texas Lutheran in Seguin, Texas.

Coming off an easy career high in his penultimate contest in the Gold Dome and a spectacular second half that helped Centenary rally from a double-digit deficit in his final game in the Dome, Matthews grabbed SCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
SHREVEPORT, La. – The Gents Basketball never led for the first 39:58.4 of the game, but a big three tied the game up late in the fourth before senior Treylan Matthews hit the winning jumper with 1.6 left in the contest as Centenary (12-11, 9-5 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) knocked off Johnson & Wales (17-7, 10-5 SCAC) 61-59 Saturday night, February 9.
SHREVEPORT, La. – For the second straight year, Gents Basketball needed a win against the Tigers to clinch an SCAC Tournament berth. And for this second straight season, they used a big second half comeback to accomplish this feat.

SHERMAN, Texas – The Gents were able to cut a 20-point deficit to four with about two minutes left in the game, but the ‘Roos were able to hold on to a lead the entire contest as Centenary (7-10, 4-4 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Austin College (7-10, 4-4 SCAC) 76-68 Tuesday night, January 22.
SHREVEPORT, La. – The Gents recorded double-digit blocks for the first time in their Division III era and tied the overall school record as Centenary (7-9, 4-3 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) upended Austin College (6-10, 2-5 SCAC) 77-56 Friday night, January 18.

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Gents stayed close for the majority of the first half, but a run right before intermission that extended to the second half gave the Weevils the victory as Centenary (1-4) fell to NCAA Division II Arkansas-Monticello (2-2) 80-51 Saturday afternoon, November 24.
CONWAY, Ark. – The Gents were able to tie the game late after trailing by seven with 2:41 left, but the Warriors used a 25-13 edge in points off turnovers in the win as Centenary (1-2) fell to Hendrix (2-1) 64-62 in the final game of day one of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Association/Southern Athletic Association Classic Saturday night, November 17.
