SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary Ladies and Gents Basketball Announces Military Appreciation Day for their season opening games against Hardin-Simmons Saturday afternoon, November 10. It will be a doubleheader with the Ladies tipping off with the Cowgirls at 1 p.m. The Gents take on the Cowboys about 30 minutes following the conclusion of the women's contest.

While attendance for the vast majority of Centenary Athletic Regular Season Matches are free, military personnel who show military identification will be given a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes. Results of the raffle drawing will be announced at halftime of the Gents game.

Prior to the start of the Gents game, current military members and veterans are welcome down to courtside at the Gold Dome prior to singing of the national anthem.

The Ladies and Hardin-Simmons are meeting for the fourth time ever with the Cowgirls hold a 2-1 lead in the series. This will be the 54th meeting between the Gents and the Cowboys in a series that dates back to 1948; however, it will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2011. Centenary leads the all-time series 35-18.

The Ladies and Gents will also be celebrating Homecoming 2018.
