Gents Face Celts On Senior Day
The Centenary men's basketball team will honor its senior class on Sunday afternoon prior to tip off of its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest versus the nationally-ranked University of St. Thomas Celts in a matchup set for 2 p.m. inside the Gold Dome.
Shreveport - The Centenary men's basketball team will honor its senior class on Sunday afternoon prior to tip off of its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest versus the nationally-ranked University of St. Thomas Celts in a matchup set for 2 p.m. inside the Gold Dome.
The Gents (6-16, 4-9 SCAC) are playing their final of 15 home games this season against the Celts (20-2, 12-1 SCAC) as Centenary looks to snap an eight-game losing streak. The Gents were held to a season-low total in points as the visiting Colorado College Tigers recorded a 68-47 victory in a SCAC contest on Friday night.
The Gents (6-16, 4-9 SCAC) saw their losing streak reach eight games while Colorado College improved 12-10 overall and 8-5 in SCAC play.
Centenary will honor its senior class in a pregame ceremony immediately following the Ladies' game which precedes the Gents' contest.
The 2025 senior class consists of team manager Andrea Kay, G Craig Collier (North Little Rock, Ark.), F Jakobi Greenleaf (Houston, Texas), G Jalen Ned (New Orleans, La.), and G Kyron Powell (Fort Worth, Texas).
