Centenary Men's Golf Ninth at John Bohmann Invitational Heading into Final Round

Seguin, Texas - The Centenary men's golf team sits in ninth place after day one of the John Bohmann Invitational at the Starcke Park Golf Club in Seguin, Texas. 

The two-day tournament hosted by Texas Lutheran University will wrap up today with 18 holes beginning at 8 a.m. The Gents posted a 36-over par 604 on Monday (298-306) in its first tournament of the 2019 season. McMurry University leads the field after day one after shooting a 2-over 570, seven strokes ahead of University of Dallas. 

Centenary senior Reed Balcerowicz led the way for the Gents on Monday as the Crosby, Texas native fired rounds of 73-72 and is tied for 13th place at 3-over 145 with two others as he eyes a top 10 finish. McMurry's Lane Roye leads all individuals at 3-under par after shooting 70-69 and is one stroke ahead of two golfers and two shots ahead of three others. 

Gents freshman Richard Polan is tied for 25th place after shooting 73-76, junior Harrison John is in the top 50 overall at 48th place after shooting 76-80, and teammate Devan Martin is just outside the top 50 at 53rd place. 

The Gents will next be in action at the Louisiana College Fall Invitational held at Links on the Bayou Golf Course in Alexandria Oct. 23-24.
