SHREVEPORT, La. – The Gents and Crusaders remained scoreless for 88:27 of the contest, but an unlucky bounce off the post proved to be the lone goal of the game as Centenary (1-3-1, 0-2-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Dallas (2-2, 1-1 SCAC) 1-0 on a rainy night at CE Byrd High School Tuesday, September 11.

Centenary freshman goalkeeper Sami Borchalli was able to keep Dallas off the board with saves in his first eight shots faced, but it was the ninth he could not do anything with. The Crusader's Jose Martinez ripped a shot from near midfield. The ball hit the right post, but it ricocheted into the goal in the 89th minute.

The Gents managed 10 shots for the game with shots on goal by seniors Nick Hammond and Seth Fountain, sophomore Ali Ibrahim, and freshman Diego Hernandez.

Sean Carlin saved all four shots faced in goal for the Crusaders.

Centenary returns to action for its first road SCAC contest of the season Friday, September 14, at Schreiner. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
