Gents Soccer Falls to #9 Trinity, 6-0

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Gents Soccer goalie Sami Borchalli saved the first nine shots faced, but the Tigers scored off a corner kick in the 34th minute and never looked back as Centenary (1-5-1, 0-4-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to #9 Trinity (4-0-1, 2-0-0 SCAC) 6-0 Sunday afternoon, September 16.

Due to the weather in and around San Antonio, the game was played at the University of Incarnate Word.

Centenary was outshot 53-2, including 22-1 in shots on goal. Freshman Wil Escobar put the lone shot on goal in the 54th minute. Sophomore Gin Pau also took a shot.

Ryan Hunter and Connor Jones both scored a pair of goals to lead Trinity.

Borchalli made 12 saves on 15 shots faced in 58:18 of game time. Trinity's Blake Lieberman saved the only shot he faced in 61:48.

Centenary returns to action next Friday, September 21, when it takes on Southwestern. Kickoff in Georgetown, Texas, is set for 5 p.m.
