Gents Soccer Ends Four Game Road Swing with Loss to Texas Lutheran

SEGUIN, Texas – The Gents and the Bulldogs played to a scoreless tie in the first half, but the home team scored four unanswered goals in the second as Centenary (1-7-1, 0-6-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Texas Lutheran (4-3, 3-2 SCAC) 4-1 Sunday afternoon, September 23.

In the 84th minute, senior Andre Anasi passed left to freshman Sethan Ward about five yards out. Ward found the back of the net for his first collegiate goal to cut the deficit to 4-1.

The Gents were outshot 25-8 in the game, including 14-2 in shots on goal.

Freshman goalie Sami Borchalli grabbed 10 saves on 14 shots faced.

Andres Nicolaou led Texas Lutheran with the game's opening goal in the 47th minute and added a pair of assists. Nicolas Medina assisted on Nicolaou's goal and also found the back of the net himself.

The Bulldog's Brendan Soto recorded a save in goal for the Bulldogs.
