Gents Soccer Falls to Colorado College, 1-0

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Gents were able to keep the second place team in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference off the scoreboard for the first 75 minutes, but the Tigers found the back of the net in the 76th minute as Centenary (2-13-2, 0-12-1 SCAC) fell to Colorado College (12-5, 10-4 SCAC) 1-0 in Colorado Friday afternoon, October 19.

Centenary freshman goalie Sami Borchalli stopped the first four shots he faced, but the Tigers scored the contest's lone goal in the 76th minute. Robert Malone served a ball in and Will Mallory crossed a ball from the left side. Henry Schuler headed the ball into the back of the net for his second goal of the season.

Borchalli saved 5-of-6 shots faced. Keller Mochel for the Tigers faced no shots for the shutout.

Centenary had its lone corner kick of the second half in the 89th minute, but only a foul by the home team occurred in the final minute as the Tigers claimed the win.

Colorado College outshot the Gents 22-3, including 6-0 in shots on target.

The Gents conclude their Colorado trip Sunday, October 21, when they face Johnson & Wales for the first time in Denver. Kickoff is scheduled for noon CDT and 11 a.m. MDT in Colorado.
