SHREVEPORT, La. – Freshman Miguel Vasquez, who already received the Centenary Athlete of the Week honor October 29, received another weekly honor when he was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week November 7, 2018.
Vasquez won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.52 at the Hendrix Classic Saturday, October 3 – the third-fastest time in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference this season. He also swam the backstroke leg of the 400 medley relay in 52.97, the 10th-fastest time in program history.
The Ladies and Gents swimming teams return to action Saturday, November 10, for a Homecoming swim meet against Southwestern. First swim is set for 11 a.m.
