Down 1-0 in the second against Westminster, the Ladies scored two in the second and two in the third to take the lead. In the second, sophomore Erin Lewis and senior Cassie Gonzales singled with one out. After a flyout, a drop fly ball emptied the bases and turned a one-run deficit into a one-run lead.

In the third, freshman Teri Johnson reached on an infield single. Junior Haley Campbell followed with a single, but an error allowed Johnson to score. After a pair of walks loaded the bases, a single by Gonzales put the Ladies up three.

Meanwhile, freshman Hannah Scoggin (1-0) picked up a complete-game win, allowing seven hits and only one run. After allowing three hits and a run in the first inning, only one Blue Jay advanced into scoring position.

Westminster scored its lone run in the first. Two singles to leadoff the inning put a pair on base, but Centenary recorded a pair of outs. However, a two-out double by Madison Washington put the Blue Jays up 1-0.

Madison Ingram (0-1) picked up the complete game loss, allowing six hits and four runs (one earned) in seven innings of work.
