SEGUIN, Texas – For the second time in as many collegiate seasons with Centenary Ladies Basketball, sophomore Bre Frierson has been named to the All-Conference Women's Basketball Team.

The All-Conference teams were released after the Semifinals of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon, February 23, in Seguin, Texas.

"Bre was fantastic all season long. One could essentially fill in the score book in for an automatic 12 points before the game even started," said head coach Jason Schmitz. "She was incredibly efficient the entire season, but more impressive, she was better in conference play – shooting nearly 68% from the field. She is a young woman with a bright future on the court but her true mark is how great of a teammate and person she is off it.

"I'm excited to have two more years with her as a central piece of the Ladies Basketball program," added Schmitz.

Frierson led the conference and is currently eighth in the country with a 61.4 field goal percentage. Frierson led the Ladies with 11.7 points and finished third on the team with 4.8 rebounds per game. She recorded her lone double-double of the season – and third of her career – with 14 points and 11 boards in the 76-55 home win against Dallas December 18.

In the final home game of the season, Frierson poured in 16 points on 7-for-8 (87.5 percent) shooting from the field in a Centenary's 63-44 win against Johnson & Wales. She also finished the year with five consecutive double-digit scoring efforts.
