Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

Kendra Jones is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Ladies.

Jones, a native of Mansfield, La., starred at Pelican High School from 1989-92 where she was a Kodak All-American, four-time All-State selection, All-District MVP four times, and helped her team to two state titles in 1990 and 1992.

She went on to have a successful career at Louisiana tech University, playing for legendary head coach Leon Barmore, where she was named Sunbelt Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1993 and 1994, named to the 1996 All-Sunbelt Team, and helped lead the Lady Techsters to four NCAA Tournament appearances including the 1994 Final Four.

Jones is currently the head coach at Mansfield High School, serving in the position since 2004, where she has led the school to 16 playoff appearances, three State finals appearances, and was named the Louisiana Coach of the Year in 2015.
