Last season, Montes became only the second player in program history to be named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team. She led the team in both goals (three) and game-winning goals. Bravo earned Third Team All-Conference recognition after finishing tied for second in both goals (two) and assists (one) in 2017. She also earned SCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on September 11 after scoring the tying goal and assisting on the winning goal of the 2017 conference opener against Austin College, a Ladies 2-1 win.

Also announced by the SCAC on Thursday, August 30, the Ladies were selected to finish fifth of eight teams in the conference. In 2017 in the SCAC Tournament, the fourth-seeded Ladies advanced in a women's soccer conference tournament for the first time in school history. Centenary and Southwestern drew to a scoreless tie in the quarterfinals, but the Ladies advanced 3-2 in a shootout.

Trinity was tabbed to repeat as conference champions, followed by Texas Lutheran, Schreiner, and Southwestern. After Centenary, Dallas finished sixth in the voting by the conference head coaches, while Austin College and SCAC-newcomer Johnson & Wales rounds out the field.

The Ladies will begin the 2018 campaign Saturday afternoon against Belhaven at 5 p.m.
