Track & Field To Compete In Cowboy Relays Bob Hayes Louisiana Challenge
The Centenary men's and women's track and field teams return to action on Saturday as they compete in the annual Cowboy Relays Bob Hayes Louisiana Challenge hosted by McNeese State University at the Bill and Lena Henning Track and Field Complex.

The Ladies and Gents opened their seasons on March 1 in the Mississippi College Spring Cleaning Meet in Clinton, Miss. and had an impressive showing.
Sophomore Christian Cormier (Lafayette, La.) earned a top-10 finish in the men's 200 meters as he placed ninth in a time of 22.63 while freshman Dwayne Mills Jr. (Slidell, La.) was 19th with a time of 23.25.
Freshman Jay Scott (Slidell, La.) was 33rd (23.69), and freshman Richard Ross (Normangee, Texas) finished 37th (23.80). Freshman Clayton Hancock (Buna, Texas) was 39th (23.96) and sophomore Bryan Washington (Wylie, Texas) finished 54th (43.56).
Sophomore Herman Pride (Baton Rouge, La.) finished 29th in the 400 meters (55.30), freshman Philip Hughes (Bossier City, La.) was 34th in the 800 meters (2:09.61) and Mills Jr., Scott, and Pride finished 13th, 16th, and 22nd respectively in the long jump as Mills Jr. jumped 6.38m, Scott 6.26m, and Pride 5.97m.
The Gents' team of Mills Jr., Cormier, freshman Micaiah Birdlow (Slidell, La.) and junior Obadiah Butler (Crowley, La.) finished third in the 4x100 meter relay in a time of 43.47.
Freshman Gabrielle Malagarie (Lafayette, La.) earned a fifth-place finish in the high jump (1.40m) and freshman Grayson Shugart (McKinney, Texas) finished fifth in the triple jump (9.90m) and also finished 16th in the 400 meters (1:05.45)
Shugart finished 12th in the long jump (4.68m) and Malagarie was right behind her in 13th (4.66m) while sophomore Mackenzie Haley (Orange, Texas) finished 16th in the long jump (4.62m).
