Irving, Texas- The Centenary volleyball team was swept in a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches on Saturday, falling in sweeps to the University of Dallas Crusaders and the Austin College 'Roos at the Maher Athletic Center on the Crusaders' campus.

The Ladies finish the season at 10-24 overall and 0-16 in SCAC play. Dallas finished the season at 9-19 overall and 3-13 in conference play while Austin College improved to 16-16 and 8-8 in SCAC action and will play next weekend in the SCAC Tournament in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Crusaders claimed set one by a score of 25-15, won set two 26-24, and clinched the match with a 25-21 win in set three. Centenary finished with 45 digs, 35 kills, 31 assists, four block assists, and one service ace. Dallas totaled 65 digs, 50 kills, 47 assists, three aces, and three blocks.

Freshman S Meadow Smith (Mansfield, Texas) had a team-leading 18 assists and four digs, senior MB Liz Lowe (San Antonio, Texas) had eight kills and seven digs, and senior DS/L Jaycie Proctor (Paris, Texas) tallied 15 digs. Senior DS Mariah Martinez (San Antonio, Texas) finished with seven digs and an assist and Sophomore OH/DS Kiara Liedy (Sugar Land, Texas) had six digs.

Senior S/RS Rachel Demerjian (Glendora, Calif.) had 12 assists, two kills, and two digs. Sophomore RS Jaylin St. Martin (New Orleans, La.) recorded six kills and three digs, and sophomore RS Aubrey Salazar (San Antonio, Texas) had nine kills and a dig.

The 'Roos won the first set 25-18, took set two 25-16, and closed out the win with a 25-23 margin in set three. The Ladies tallied 61 digs, 41 kills, 37 assists, and three aces. Austin College recorded 57 digs, 44 kills, 40 assists, and six aces.

Smith finished with 19 assists and nine digs, Lowe totaled 11 kills, 10 digs, and an ace, and Demerjian had 15 assists, two digs, two kills, and a block assist. Liedy had 12 digs and Proctor finished with 13. St. Martin topped 500 kills in her career with seven kills and added two digs. Salazar had a team-best 14 kills and a dig. Martinez tallied eight digs, two assists, and two aces.
