Sophomore CF Collin Pitts (Lufkin, Texas) had a monster weekend at the plate for the Diamond Gents as he hit .615 (8-13) as he helped lead Centenary to a three-game series sweep at home over Southwestern. Pitts had seven RBI, scored three runs, only struck out one time, and had an OBP of .615 while slugging .846. He recorded multi-hit games in all three contests of the series and matched his season and career-high single-game record of four hits as he was 4-5 with two RBI and a run scored in a 12-9 victory on Saturday.
