2020 Sophomore Season: Competed in all 10 of the Ladies’ meets during the season on the bars, beam, and vault … Named a Midwest Independent Conference scholar-athlete… Recorded season and career-best scores in all three events during the season with a 9.725 on the bars (Feb. 21), a 9.750 on beam (Feb. 9), and a 9.500 on the vault on Feb. 16.

2019 Freshman Season: Placed 10th on vault (9.225) versus Eau Claire on Jan. 19 …. Placed third on bars versus TWU on Feb. 1 (9.650) and Gustavus Adolphus on Feb. 3 (9.600) … Fourth on vault (9.375) and sixth on bars (9.575) on March 1 versus Air Force.

Prior to Centenary: Competed in club gymnastics for head coaches Lisa Gravelle and Giana Springer at G-Force Gymnastics in Albuquerque, New Mexico... Qualified for Regionals every year from 2011-2018... Awards include a Varsity Gymnastics Letter, Gymnast of the Year in 2018, recognition as Outstanding on Bars in 2016, and the Judges Choice Award at the 2018 PGA meet... Also placed on bars at Regionals in 2017...Academically, received the All-Academic Award and earned a Sports Medicine Varsity Letter after putting in more than 250 clinical hours.

Personal: Birthday is November 11... Xian is the daughter of Kasandra Carter-Baumgartner and has a brother, Zoe Baumgartner... At Centenary, majoring in biology.

 

What is your favorite event and why: My favorite event is beam because of the challenge of learning new tricks.

Why did you Choose Centenary: I chose Centenary because of the great opportunities available to me, both academically and athletically.
