Mitch Pabst
Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

A Shreveport native and a 2014 graduate of Louisiana Tech, Mitch Pabst served from 2013-16 as the full-time Director of Operations for The Red River Youth Lacrosse Association. He was in charge of every aspect of the program, including recruiting new players, promotions, tournaments, hiring coaches and officials, local training, and also coached the high school summer travel teams. During his tenure, the program grew from 100 players to at one point nearly 350 local players. He currently serves as an assistant coach at Captain Shreve High School, as a local lacrosse official, and on the Red River Youth Lacrosse Board of Directors. 

Pabst has coached at Captain Shreve the last couple of years (where last season, he led them to a top-3 defense in the state), South Bossier Panthers Lacrosse, and with the Shreveport Mudbugs travel team. He's helped run clinics, coached recreational teams at every level, and was instrumental in helping Louisiana Tech establish their MCLA team in 2016. He's also the president of the the local men's club team. 

Prior to his three years as the Director of Red River Lacrosse Pabst served 11 years on both active duty and with the Louisiana National Guard as an Engineer Officer, serving a year with a combat tour in Afghanistan in 2012. 

He and his wife, Meredith, have one daughter, Frances.
