  • Women's Soccer Program Finishes 10th In Final United Soccer Coaches Rankings

    The Centenary women’s soccer program finished 10th in the West Region in the final edition of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA Division III Poll, it was announced on Wednesday. The Ladies finished the 2019 season 16-3 overall and 7-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play were ranked for six consecutive weeks in the United Soccer Coaches West Regional Poll during the season as the Maroon and White set division III era (2011-present) team records for wins (16), goals (47), assists (39), points (132), and shots (327).
  • Boldrin and Montes Named To 2019 LSWA All-Louisiana Team

    Centenary Ladies soccer seniors Migui Boldrin and Kyra Montes continue to collect more awards as both were named to the 2019 Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana Women’s Soccer Collegiate Team, which was released by the LSWA on Saturday. The two were named to the First Team and were also named to the United States Coaches All-West Region Team last week and Boldrin (Ribeiaro, Brazil) who was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, was also named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's All-America Team last Thursday as she earns the distinction of being the first player in program history (division 1 or division III) to be named an All-American.
  • Migui Boldrin Named United Soccer Coaches All-American

    Centenary Ladies soccer senior Migui Boldrin has been named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women’s All-America Team, the organization announced on Thursday. Boldrin, a native of Ribeiaro, Brazil, was named to the Second Team and had one of the finest seasons in Ladies soccer program history in her lone season with the Maroon and White in 2019 as she was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year. She earns the distinction of being the first player in program history (division 1 or division III) to be named an All-American.
  • Boldrin And Montes Named To United States Coaches All-West Region Team

    Seniors Migui Boldrin and Kyra Montes were named to the United States Coaches All-West Region Team, it was announced on Monday. Boldrin (Ribeiaro, Brazil) and Montes (Shreveport) were named to the first team and were two of just 11 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes to receive the honor.

    Migui Boldrin and Kyra Montes were named to the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team, the league office announced on Monday.  Boldrin, a senior from Ribeiaro, Brazil who was named the 2019 SCAC Offensive Player of the Year, and Montes, a Shreveport native, added to their superb senior seasons with another honor for each.
  • Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 In Overtime Of 2019 SCAC Championship Semifinals To Southwestern

    The No. 3 seed Centenary women’s soccer team lost a heartbreaker, 1-0, in overtime to the No. 2 seed Southwestern Pirates on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the 2019 SCAC Women’s Soccer Championship at Varsity Field. The Ladies (16-3, 7-3 SCAC) and Southwestern (16-4, 7-2 SCAC) played their second overtime in a matter of seven days following a 2-1 victory by the Pirates this past Sunday in double overtime at Mayo Field in the regular-season finale for both teams. The Pirates earned the No. 2 seed this weekend despite the teams tying for second place by virtue of that 2-1 victory.
  • Women's Soccer Team Faces Schreiner In 2019 SCAC Women's Soccer Championship On Friday

    The Centenary women’s soccer team will face the Schreiner Mountaineers on Friday in the quarterfinals of the 2019 SCAC Women's Soccer Championship hosted by Southwestern University in a match set for 1:30 p.m. at Varsity Field in Georgetown, Texas. The Ladies (15-2, 6-2 SCAC) are the No. 3 seed while Schreiner (5-11-3, 1-6-1 SCAC) is the No. 6 seed.
  • Women's Soccer Advances To SCAC Championship Semifinals With 1-0 Shutout Over Schreiner

    The No. 3 seed Centenary women’s soccer team blanked the No. 6 seed Schreiner Mountaineers, 1-0, in the quarterfinals of the 2019 SCAC Women's Soccer Championship hosted by Southwestern University at Varsity Field on Friday in what was a historic win for the Centenary program. The Ladies improved to 16-2 overall and 7-2 in SCAC play and with the victory, set a program record for wins in a season in any era, division 1 or division III.
  • Women's Soccer Places Four On 2019 All-SCAC Team; Migui Boldrin Named Offensive Player of the Year

    The Centenary women’s soccer team placed four players on the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer All-SCAC Team highlighted by senior Migui Boldrin being named the 2019 SCAC Offensive Player of the Year, it was announced on Thursday following exclusive voting by the league’s head women’s soccer coaches Boldrin, a native of Ribeiaro, Brazil, was also a First Team selection and joined by fellow senior and Shreveport native Kyra Montes. Senior midfielder Betza Bravo (Katy, Texas) was a Second Team selection and freshman midfielder Yosi Bouslog (Friendswood, Texas) earned Honorable Mention honors.
  • Women's Soccer Drops 2-1 Heartbreaker To Southwestern In Double OT; Clinches No. 3 Seed In SCAC Championship

    The Centenary women’s soccer team dropped a 2-1 heartbreaker in double overtime on Sunday to the Southwestern Pirates in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Mayo Field in the final regular season game for both teams. The Ladies (15-2, 6-2) lost for the first time at home this season, finishing a superb 8-1 at Mayo Field this season, and had their five game winning streak snapped. Centenary, despite the loss, clinched the number three seed in next weekend’s 2019 SCAC Women’s Soccer Championship in Georgetown, Texas, hosted by Southwestern at Varsity Field.
  • Women's Soccer Edges Texas Lutheran, 2-1, On Senior Night

    The Centenary women's soccer team continued its stellar regular season on Friday as the Ladies edged Texas Lutheran, 2-1, in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match held on Senior Night at a frigid Mayo Field.  The Ladies (15-1, 6-1 SCAC) won their fifth-straight match and are undefeated at home (8-0) this season. Centenary also clinched no worse than the No. 3 seed in next week's SCAC Women's Soccer Championship in Georgetown, Texas hosted by Southwestern. The Ladies will either be the No. 2 or 3 seed and that will be determined after Sunday's regular-season finale against Southwestern (14-4, 5-2 SCAC) at Noon at Mayo Field. Southwestern defeated St. Thomas, 3-0, on Friday in Houston. 
  • Women's Soccer Faces Texas Lutheran On Senior Night On Friday

    The Centenary women’s soccer team will face the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Friday in a critical Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match set for 5 p.m. at Mayo Field. Friday is Senior Night for Centenary and six Ladies; Betza Bravo (Katy, Texas), Migui Boldrin (Ribeiaro, Brazil), Emilee Byrd (Shreveport), Serena Gallegos (Katy, Texas), Gabby Lovemore (Natchitoches, La.), and Kyra Montes (Shreveport) will be honored in a special pregame ceremony starting at approximately 4:45 p.m. The Ladies (14-1, 5-1 SCAC) are currently tied for second in the conference standings with the University of Dallas, just behind leader Trinity (6-0).

    Centenary Ladies’ soccer standout Migui Boldrin was named SCAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for games played through Sunday, October 27th.  Boldrin, a midfielder from Ribeiaro, Brazil, achieved the honor for the second time this season after previously being named Player of the Week after the season’s first weekend in August.
  • Gabby McDonald Named SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

    Centenary’s Gabby McDonald was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for games played through Sunday, October 27th.  McDonald, a sophomore defender/midfielder from Pasadena, Texas, earned the honor for the first time in her young career. She was a lock down defender this past week for the Ladies as she helped lead her team to three victories including a pair of road conference wins last weekend over the University of Dallas and Austin College.

    The Centenary women’s soccer team swept the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors on Monday as the league office announced that Migui Boldrin was named SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Gabby McDonald was named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, October 27th. 
  • Women's Soccer Blanks Austin College In SCAC Play On Sunday
    October 27, 2019
    The Centenary women’s soccer team blanked the Austin College ‘Roos by a score of 4-0 on Sunday in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at the Pierce Complex. The Ladies (14-1, 5-1 SCAC) won their fourth-straight match and went 2-0 on their weekend road swing in Texas after defeating the University of Dallas, 3-2, on Friday. Centenary star senior midfielder Migui Boldrin (Ribeiaro, Brazil) scored a pair of goals on Sunday, her 15th and 16th of the season which leads the SCAC.
  • Women's Soccer Wins Third Straight With Victory Over Dallas

    The Centenary women’s soccer team scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute to break a tie as the Ladies defeated the University of Dallas Crusaders, 3-2, on Friday in a key Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at the University of Dallas soccer complex.  The Ladies (13-1, 4-1 SCAC) continued their best start in program history in the division III era and became the first team to score on the Crusaders (8-5-1, 4-1) in the last six games and won for the first time in program history at Dallas.

    The Centenary women’s soccer team returns to conference play when the Ladies face the University of Dallas Crusaders on Friday in a road Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match set for 5 p.m. on Friday at the University of Dallas soccer complex.  The Ladies (12-1, 3-1 SCAC) are coming off of an impressive 6-1 victory over Louisiana College at home on Monday.
  • Women's Soccer Rolls To 6-1 Victory Over Louisiana College

    The Centenary women’s soccer team flexed its offensive muscles on Monday evening as the Ladies defeated the Louisiana College Wildcats, 6-1, in a non-conference match at Mayo Field. The Ladies (12-1) remained hot as they continued one of the best starts to a season in program history. The 12 wins this season are the most since 2004 and are four away from the single-season record of 16 set in 1996 under former head coach Glenn Evans. Centenary improved to 7-0 at home and have allowed one goal or less in all seven matches, outscoring the opposition, 19-5. Louisiana College fell to 1-13-1 with Monday’s loss.

    The Centenary women’s soccer team steps out of conference play on Monday as the Ladies face the Louisiana College Wildcats in a match set for 5 p.m. at Mayo Field. The Ladies (11-1) defeated St. Thomas, 2-1, on Friday at home in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The Maroon and White are currently third in the SCAC standings at 3-1, just behind second-place Dallas (4-0). Trinity leads the way at 5-0.
  • Women's Soccer Defeats St. Thomas To Improve to 11-1
    October 18, 2019
    The Centenary women's soccer team improved to 11-1 on the season and 3-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 2-1 victory over St. Thomas on Friday at Mayo Field. The Ladies upped their record at home to a perfect 6-0 and got back in the win column after suffering their first defeat of the season on Sunday at Trinity. Senior Migui Boldrin (Ribeiaro, Brazil) scored her team-leaqding and conference-best 12th goal of the season. Boldrin is just two goals away from teammate Kyra Montes' program record for goals in a single season of 14. St. Thomas fell to 4-6-1 and 1-3 in SCAC play with the loss.

    The Centenary women’s soccer team will face the St. Thomas Celts in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match set for Friday at 5 p.m. at Mayo Field. The Ladies (10-1, 2-1 SCAC) lost for the first time this season after winning its first 10 games as the Ladies fell to Trinity, 4-0, on Sunday in a road conference match. The Maroon and White defeated Schreiner 4-1 last Friday. Centenary is still off to the best start in program history and have eclipsed last season's win total (9) and have won the most games in a season since going 10-8-1 in 2011.

The Ladies (10-1, 2-1 SCAC) are still off to the best start in program history and have eclipsed last season’s win total (9) and have won the most games in a season since going 10-8-1 in 2011. Centenary is currently tied for second place in the conference standings with Southwestern, just behind Trinity and the University of Dallas, who are tied for first at 3-0 in SCAC play.

The Ladies (9-0, 1-0 SCAC) and Mountaineers (4-6-2, 0-1 SCAC) will square off in a match set for 2 p.m. before facing Trinity on Sunday in San Antonio. Centenary opened SCAC play last Friday with a thrilling 1-0 overtime win over the Johnson and Wales Wildcats at home as the Maroon and White continued their best start in program history and remain tied atop the conference standings.
  • Karlie Delhommer Named SCAC Defensive Player Of The Week

    Karlie Delhommer was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, October 6th. Delhommer, a freshman goalkeeper from St. Amant, La., played all 104 minutes of the Ladies’ thrilling 1-0 overtime victory over Johnson & Wales last Friday at home, collecting five saves and securing three points in the league standings to open SCAC play. Delhommer earned her ninth victory of the season and posted her third shutout.

    The Centenary women's soccer is one of only five remaining undefeated teams in Division III in the country and is ranked number 10 in the West Region in the latest edition of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA Division III Poll. The Ladies (9-0) opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play last Friday with a thrilling 1-0 overtime win over the Johnson and Wales Wildcats at home as The Maroon and White continued their best start in program history and remain tied atop the conference standings. Centenary, which was receiving votes in last week's United Soccer Coaches poll, broke into the West Region rankings this week and is the only undefeated team remaining in the region and the only undefeated team overall in the SCAC.

    The Centenary women's soccer team remained undefeated with a thrilling 1-0 overtime win over the Johnson and Wales Wildcats on Friday evening at Mayo Field in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams. The Ladies (9-0, 1-0 SCAC) continued the best start in program history and remained atop the SCAC standings. Johnson and Wales dropped to 2-8 and 0-1 with the loss. Freshman midfielder Celeste Muinz (Denton, Texas) scored the game winner and notched her first-career goal in the 104 minute of the match. The two teams battled to a scoreless tie after 90 minutes of action. 
  • Women's Soccer Aims to Stay Undefeated As SCAC Play Begins

    The Centenary women’s soccer team aims to remain undefeated when the Ladies welcome the Johnson and Wales Wildcats to town Friday for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams. The conference match is set for 5 p.m. at Mayo Field between the Ladies (8-0) and Wildcats (2-7). Centenary is off to its best start in program history, and is receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA Division III Poll for the West Region. The Ladies sit atop the SCAC standings as conference play begins this weekend.
