Centenary Women's Soccer Looks to remain undefeated on Road

Denver, Colo. - The Centenary women's soccer team will look to remain undefeated on the season as the Ladies travel to face the Johnson and Wales Wildcats on Sunday in a match set for 11 a.m. mountain time (Noon central).

The Ladies (4-0) defeated LeTourneau by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday in their home opener. J&W fell to St. Thomas 2-0 on Friday at home. In Tuesday's match, the Ladies rallied from a 1-0 deficit at halftime with two second-half goals and earn the win in front of a large, spirited crowd on its home field.

Centenary senior midfielder Emilee Byrd, a Shreveport native and Caddo Magnet product, tied the match at 1-1 with a goal in the 66th minute. Fellow senior Kyra Montes, also a hometown product from Byrd High School, gave the Ladies the lead in the 82nd minute off the assist from Kat Martinez

Senior Migui Boldrin (Ribeiaro, Brazil) leads the team with four goals on the season and was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week earlier this month. The Centenary offense has been well-rounded so far this season with six players scoring a goal and the Ladies outscoring the competition, 11-5 this season.
