Swimming Teams Earn Top-5 Finishes At SCAC Championships
February 17, 2020The Centenary swimming teams finished competition at the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at the Josh Davis Natatorium. The Ladies placed fourth overall with a final points total of 407 while the Gents finished fifth with 305 points at the four-day event. Trinity University swept the team titles, winning on both the men’s and women’s side with 1,050 and 945 points respectively. -
Swimming Teams Complete Day Two At SCAC Championships
February 13, 2020The Centenary swimming team completed action on day two of the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the Josh Davis Natatorium as the Ladies are in fourth place and the Gents in fifth. The Ladies have collected 140 total points while the Gents have earned 130.

Centenary Swimming Teams Fourth After Day One Of SCAC Championships
February 12, 2020The Centenary swimming team completed action on day one of the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the Josh Davis Natatorium. The Ladies and Gents each sit in fourth place overall after the first day of competition while host Trinity sits atop both the men’s and women’s standings after day one. The Ladies collected 80 total points while the Gents earned 74.

Swimming Team Splits With Austin College On Senior Day
January 20, 2020The Centenary men's and women's swimming team celebrated "Senior Day" on Saturday as the Maroon and White faced Austin College at the Centenary Fitness Center. The Ladies defeated the ‘Roos, 94-82, while the Gents fell, 122-72. Three seniors (Ellen Atkinson, Jessi Jordan, and Eddie Dyess) were honored in Centenary's final home meet of the season.

Swimming Hosts Annual Senior Day On Saturday
January 17, 2020The Centenary men's and women's swimming team will celebrate “Senior Day” on Saturday as the Maroon and White welcome Austin College to town for a 1 p.m. meet at the Centenary Fitness Center. Three seniors (Ellen Atkinson, Jessi Jordan, and Eddie Dyess) will be honored in Centenary’s final home meet of the season. Atkinson (Katy, Texas) and Jessi Jordan (Dallas, Texas) are the two Ladies’ seniors. Atkinson swims the Backstroke and Freestyle while Jordan competes in the Breaststroke and IM. Dyess, a native of Vidor, Texas, competes in the Breaststroke and Freestyle and is the lone Gent senior this season.

Swimming Teams Place In Top Five At Austin College Invite
January 12, 2020The Centenary men's and women's swimming team returned to action on Saturday for the first time in the New Year as the Gents finished fourth and the Ladies third in the Austin College Invite at the Hannah Natatorium. The Ladies finished with a final team score of 327 while the Gents earned a 233 mark.

January 10, 2020The Centenary men's and women's swimming team will compete in the Austin College Invite on Saturday at the Hannah Natatorium in the first action for the Maroon and White of the new Year. Centenary's most recent action was last month at the Hendrix Invite in Conway, Ark. as the Ladies finished third and the gents placed fourth.

Brianna Serret Named SCAC Women’s Swimmer Of The Week
December 11, 2019Centenary sophomore Brianna Serret has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam the week of Dec. 2 to Dec. 8. Serret (Alexandria, La.) led the Centenary swimming team to a third-place finish at the Hendrix Invite on Saturday in Conway, Ark. She placed first in the 100 fly, beating her personal best time by two seconds for a finishing time of 58.29. She then finished first in the 200 fly as she recorded a time of 2:14.29 to set another personal best time by four seconds.

December 08, 2019The Centenary men's and women's swimming team completed action in the fourth-annual Hendrix Invite on Saturday at the Bob Courtway Pool at Hendrix University as the women finished third and the men placed fourth. The women tallied 521 total points and the men collected 273 points.

December 05, 2019The Centenary men's and women's swimming team will compete in the fourth-annual Hendrix Invite this weekend at the Bob Courtway Pool at Hendrix University. The meet is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 and continues at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. The Centenary men's and women's swimming team completed a sweep over Millsaps last month in a dual meet held at the Centenary Fitness Center in their most recent action.

November 08, 2019The Centenary men's and women's swimming team completed a sweep over Millsaps on Friday in a dual meet held at the Centenary Fitness Center. The Gents recorded a 74-60 victory while the Ladies won, 87-62. Centenary won 14 of 20 events in the meet, eight by the women and six by the men. Centenary finished first and second place in four different events. Centenary and Millsaps met for the second time this season after the Maroon and White opened its 2019-20 season last month with a sweep of the Majors in a dual meet on the road last month.

The Ladies placed fourth last weekend at the Hendrix Relays/Hendrix Classic in Conway, Ark. while the men finished sixth. Millsaps and Centenary are meeting for the second time this season as the Maroon and White opened its 2019-20 season last month with a sweep of the Majors in a dual meet on the road. Men's And Women's Swimming Opens Season Friday at Millsaps
October 18, 2019The Centenary men's and women's swimming teams will begin their 2019-20 seasons on Friday with a dual meet against Millsaps scheduled for 4 p.m. at the University Wellness Center – Lakeland in Flowood outside of Jackson, Miss. The meet will be the first hosted by Millsaps in program history as swimming was recently added as a sport by the Majors. The Ladies and Gents each finished fourth at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships last February in San Antonio in their last action.

Swimming Adds Brad Langford to Staff as Assistant Coach
September 16, 2019Centenary men's and women's Swimming head coach Butch Jordan is proud to announce the addition of Brad Langford to his staff as assistant coach beginning this season. Langford, a native of Mason, Ohio, comes to Centenary from the Hillsborough Aquatic Club in Hillsborough, NC where he coached this past season.
