San Antonio, Texas – Centenary sophomore Devante' Jack (Jena, La.) put the finishing touches on his superb performance at the 2022 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday as he placed second in the men's 400 meter dash with a time of 48.68 at Trinity University Track & Field Stadium.

Jack, who made history on Saturday as he won the men's 800 meter in a conference-record time of 1:52.37 and became the first Centenary student-athlete ever to win an event at the SCAC Championships, led the Gents to a sixth-place finish with 18 points. His time in the 800 was also the 15th-fastest in the event this season in all of division III and his gold medal qualifies him for a spot in the Division III Outdoor National Championships May 26-28 in Geneva, Ohio.

Host Trinity won the men's team title with 225 points, just ahead of runner-up Texas Lutheran (204 points). Colorado College finished third, St. Thomas was fourth, Southwestern was fifth, and Schreiner seventh. Trinity also claimed the women's title (192 points), Colorado College finished second (176), Texas Lutheran place third, Southwestern fourth, St. Thomas fifth, Schreiner sixth, and Dallas seventh.
