Women's Basketball Finishes Regular Season at Home Versus St. Thomas

Shreveport– The Centenary women's basketball team welcomes the University of St. Thomas to town this weekend for its final two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference games of the regular season as the teams meet on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Gold Dome.

The Ladies (0-8) and Celts (3-3) will play again on Saturday at 1 p.m. Centenary will honor its senior class following the game Saturday. Both games this weekend will be live streamed and live stats will also be available for both at the links below:

Centenary, which had a pair of scheduled conference games at Austin College last weekend cancelled due to the recent winter storm, dropped a 79-55 decision to the Colorado College Tigers at home in its most recent contest back on Feb. 6. The Ladies' bye week was the weekend of Feb. 12-13 so they have been off for 20 days come Friday. St. Thomas has had its last four games cancelled, having last played on Feb. 6 as well, dropping a 63-46 decision at home to Austin College. The Celts' two games at Texas Lutheran on Feb. 12-13 and a pair at home versus Colorado College were all not played.

Freshman guard Addy Tremie (Sulphur, La.) continued her fantastic rookie season by scoring a career-high 19 points to lead all scorers in the Feb. 6 game. Tremie made 8 of 24 shots from the field and nailed three treys in 39 minutes. She also grabbed five rebounds and blocked a shot. Tremie reached double figures for the fifth-straight game and sixth time this season. She currently ranks third in the SCAC in scoring (14.7 PPG), third in three-point FG's made, 14th in defensive rebounds, and 17th in overall rebounding.

Sophomore forward Jazzmyn Jones (Normangee, Texas) matched her career high of 17 points in the game. She made 8 of 13 shots overall in 20 minutes off the bench and added five rebounds. Jones has now scored in double figures three times this season. Jones currently ranks second in the SCAC in field goal percentage at 55.8 %.

Senior guard Jennae Mayberry (Clovis, Calif.) posted a double-double, the first of her career, as she scored 10 points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds. Mayberry added five assists and four steals for a superb overall performance. Mayberry ranks ninth in the conference in assists this season with 24.

Ladies sophomore forward Amelia Bagwell (West Monroe, La.) currently ranks in the top 12 in three different statistical categories in the conference: 6th in offensive rebounds, ninth in blocked shots, and is tied for 12th in rebounding.
