Seguin, Texas - The Centenary men's and women's track and field teams completed day one of competition on Saturday at the 2021 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships at Bulldog Stadium.
The Ladies and Gents are making their program debut in the annual event. The championship wraps up on Sunday with track events beginning at 8:30 a.m. and field events at 9 a.m. Trinity is the women's leader after day one

Ladies' senior Ashlynn Albert (Dallas, Texas) had the best finish of the day for Centenary as she placed fifth in the Women's shot put with a distance of 10.16 m while senior Lauren Pilcher (Bossier City, La.) placed 13th (7.87 m).
Senior Jennae Mayberry (Clovis, Calif.) finished sixth in the Women's 200-meter dash with a time of 26.78 and fellow senior Tacoya Allen (Killeen, Texas) placed 17th with a time of 28.93.
On the men's side, junior Payton Lii (Dallas, Texas) finished 13th in the Men's 200-meter dash with a time of 24.91 and freshman Kenan Cooper (St. Francisville, La.) finished 15th with a time of 26.17.
