For the second time this season, Ladies Volleyball freshman Rachel Demerjian has been named the Centenary Athlete of the Week. The selection was announced on Monday, October 15. 

Demerjian helped the Ladies (12-13, 4-6 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) tie the school record for conference wins in a season in the five-set win against Johnson & Wales. During the contest, Demerjian broke the Ladies NCAA Division III record for assists in a match, finishing with 55. She also tallied a career match best 25 digs to complete her 12th double-double of the season. She also added a double-double in a loss to Dallas Friday night.

Demerjian joins Ladies Soccer junior Kyra Montes as the only student-athletes to be named the Centenary Athlete of the Week twice so far in 2018-19.

Centenary Volleyball continues Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play next Saturday, October 20, in Sherman, Texas. Centenary takes on Austin College at 10 a.m. before finishing the day against Southwestern at 2 p.m.
