Centenary Ladies Gym Talk: Sept. 20 Edition

Centenary Ladies Gym Talk: Sept. 20 Edition

Hi Ladies Fans, it is SENIOR (I cannot believe I am already a senior) Kendall Sanders here with this week's gym talk.

If you ask me, the Ladies seem to have a goal in mind because these Ladies have hit the ground running. We started off the weekend with everyone's favorite tradition of sister reveal!! Our sweet freshies went on a scavenger hunt around campus in search of pictures they would be using for their "Guess who" board. Then, they played Guess Who to find out who their big sisters would be. Shout out to Emma Lavelle as she became a part of my family! We then played a fun fact game where everyone got to learn a little bit more about their teammates. The returners were so excited to welcome our new sisters into the families! It sure is one of my favorite nights!

On Saturday at open gym the Ladies decided to rotate to each event as a team and had work together as a team. Let me just say, the Ladies brought the cheers because the gym was as loud as can be! It is always fun to have the whole team on one event cheering each other on. Shout out to freshman Chloe, Carissa, and Emma for catching their major releases on bars for the first time in the Jill's! Also, shout out to senior Maddie McCary for catching her major release and pushing herself every day!

Last spring, the Ladies created a list of expectation for the team when they return, and at Sunday's practice we got together to see how everyone did with their training over the summer. I saw lots of floor roars, bar stars, and beam queens! Shout out to Lacey Wedge and myself for taking the step to moving new series up to the high beam. The Ladies are pushing themselves day in and day out during conditioning, open gym, track workouts and school.

The Ladies have conquered their first round of tests in the classroom and are working so hard! Stay tuned for what more this team has accomplished! Last one… Best one!

Until next time, much love!
