The Gents (17-7, 10-5 SCAC) and Tigers (11-13, 8-7 SCAC) are currently third and fourth respectively in the conference standings. Colorado College, 8-3 on its home court this season, will honor its seniors on Sunday and look to snap a two-game losing streak.

Both the Gents and Tigers are coming off of losses to nationally-ranked and conference regular-season champion St. Thomas. The Gents fell to the Celts in Houston on Tuesday night, 68-55, while the Tigers lost at home on Friday by a score of 67-56. The Gents look for a season sweep in the series after defeating the Tigers last month at home, 63-58.

Junior G Braeden Board (Rayne, La.) scored a career-high 25 points to lead all scorers on Tuesday against the Celts and senior G Jalen Behr (Athens, Ga.) joined him in double figures with 14. Senior F Seth Thomas (Kilgore, Texas) had five points and nine rebounds along with three steals, an assist, and a blocked shot. Senior G Ralph Johnson (White Castle, La.) had seven points, four assists, and one rebound.

Centenary's five-game winning streak was snapped on Tuesday, but the Maroon and White have still won six of their last nine games and are currently in third place in the conference standings. The Gents trail Trinity (18-6, 11-4 SCAC) by a half game and St. Thomas (23-2, 16-0 SCAC) has clinched the regular-season title with its win on Friday over Colorado College.

The Gents have qualified for next weekend's SCAC Championship (Feb. 24-26 in San Antonio) and will either be the #2 or # 3 seed. Trinity plays Southwestern (10-14, 6-9 SCAC) at home on Saturday night and can clinch the #2 seed with a win. The top six teams in the conference standings after the conclusion of the regular season will play in the SCAC Championship and the top two seeds receive a bye into the semifinals. The Gents are assured of finishing no lower than third, even if they lose on Sunday. The Maroon and White were predicted to finish fourth in the preseason poll.

The Gents have now held 20 of their 24 opponents this season to 70 points or less, 60 or less 10 times, and to 55 or less nine times. Centenary has now won at least 17 games in a season twice under head coach Chris Dorsey, and 14 or more four times, and are just one win away from matching the division III era (2012-present) single-season record of 18, previously set in the 2019-20 season under Dorsey and also in 2013-14. Centenary has won 10 or more SCAC regular-season games five times in the D3 era and three times under Dorsey.

Thomas enters Sunday's action as the Gents' leading scorer (15.6 PPG) and rebounder (7.5 RPG) and ranks in the top five in the conference in both categories. He is also in the top 15 in the league in minutes played, field goal percentage, free throw %, assists, steals, blocked shots, and both defensive and offensive rebounds. He has reached double figures in 17 of his last 18 games and 21 times this season with six double-doubles.

Board is averaging 8.9 PPG and has reached double figures nine times this season. He is in the top 20 in the league in rebounding, top 30 in scoring, top 15 in steals, and top five in FT %. Senior G Tykeem Singleton (Fort Worth, Texas) was held to just two points in the loss at St. Thomas but averages 8.7 PPG and 4.8 rebounds/game this season. He is also in the top 20 in the conference in rebounding, top 30 in scoring, and top 15 in FG %. He has scored in double figures 12 times this season.

Behr is averaging 7.1 PPG and has scored in double figures two games in a row and in four of his last six games. He has reached double figures seven times total this season and is one of the league's top 3-point shooters as he ranks in the top 15 in the league in 3-point FG's made. He has hit 14 treys over the last six games and made at least two in a game 11 times this season.

Two Colorado College players average double figures, led by Dinari Boykin's 16.1 PPG. Scott Ruegg averages 11.1 and Boykin is also the Tigers' leading rebounder (6.4/game).
