Shreveport - The No. 3 seed Centenary men's basketball team will face the No. 4 seed Colorado College Tigers on Sunday afternoon in the 2024 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship title game set for Noon inside the Gold Dome.

The Gents (16-11) powered past the No. 2 seed University of St. Thomas Celts (20-6) on Saturday afternoon by a score of 64-51 in the second semifinal of the tournament as the Gents are hosting the event on their home court. The Gents and Tigers battle on Sunday with an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament at stake. Colorado College upset No. 1 seed Trinity (23-3) in Saturday's first semifinal, 71-70.
Saturday's win secured the Gents' fifth appearance in the SCAC Tournament championship game (2014, 2015, 2018, 2020, 2024) and third under head coach Dorsey's direction (2018, 2020, 2024). The Gents won the title following the 2019-20 season against Texas Lutheran, 77-56 in Kerrville, Texas.
