Cheer and Dance Teams Display First Combined Game Day Routine

Houston - The Centenary Cheer and Dance Teams debuted their first combined game day routine at the Cheer America and Freedom Dance competition at the NRG Center on Dec. 3.

The teams combined to put out a three-minute routine featuring a traditional band chant, sideline cheer, and fight song. The combined performance hit zero and brought home first place in its division. The teams received notable remarks for their practicality and skill incorporation.

The Dance Team, The Leading Ladies, took the stage and competed in the college hip hop division where they placed first in their division. The routine received notable remarks for specificity and nuance as well as the social dance elements that were included in the routine.

The cheer team will compete one more time for the fall semester at the World Class Cheer Virtual Competition airing on December 10th in the full game day division. The Leading Ladies will also compete at the WCC.
