Cheer and Dance Teams Impress At WSA Competition

Shreveport - The Centenary Cheer and Dance Teams competed in the WSA competition this past Saturday at the Shreveport Convention Center. 

The cheer team performed a solid "hit zero" traditional game day routine which included band chant, sideline, and fight song. The team received high remarks for tumbling, fight song, representation, band dance, and props and visualization. The team brought home best building, best tumbling, and most creative as well as high point. 

The Leading Ladies performed their jazz salsa combo and received rave reviews for their uniformity and synchronization, composition of movement, movement dynamics, and communication. The team also earned high point as well. 

Both teams will take the floor one more time in the regular season in Galveston, Texas on February 4 and5  before leaving for Anaheim, Calif. on Feb. 23 to perform at the USA Collegiate National Championships.
