Track and Field Teams Complete First Meet in Program History

Clinton, Miss. – The Centenary men's and women's track teams completed their first meet in program history on Saturday at the Mississippi College Outdoor Season Opener held at the James E. Parkman Track at Robinson-Hale Stadium. 

Junior Paden Sisterhen (Bossier City, La.) posted a 33rd place finish in the 5000 meters (19:20.24) for the best overall finish for either team.

Junior Peyton Lii (Dallas, Texas) finished 47th in the 800 meters (2:15.80) and freshman Jacob Vidrine (Slaughter, La.) was 56th in the 1500 meters (5:12.72).

On the Ladies' side, Centenary recorded three top-50 finishes on the day as Na'Lani Zeno placed 42nd in the 100 meters (15.30) and Lauren Pilcher (6.88 meters) and Ashley Watts (5.27 meters) finished 42nd and 44th, respectively in the shot put. Zeno also finished 64th in the 200 meters (32.62).

Field events included the long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus as well as the high jump, pole vault, hammer, and javelin. The running events included the following: 10,000m run, 5000m run, 400m hurdles, 400m relay, 1500m run, 400m dash, 100m dash, 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 800m run, 200m dash, 3000m Steeplechase, and 1600m relay.

The Ladies and Gents will have a few weeks to rest before participating in the Dan Veach Invitational in Magnolia, Ark. on March 26. Links to both the men's and women's complete schedules are below:
