Gamble Harvill, Lacrosse
Sophomore A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) scored an NCAA single-game record 14 goals in Centenary's 21-11 victory over the Hendrix College Warriors in a non-conference contest on Saturday at Atkins Field. Harvill stands alone in NCAA history across all three divisions (DI, DII, and DIII) for goals in a single game, as the previous mark was 13 accomplished four other DIII players and one D2 player. No division 1 player has ever scored more than 11 goals in a game, accomplished four times. Harvill scored seven goals and added one assist in Centenary's 27-10 season-opening 27-10 victory over LaGrange College on Jan. 31 and now owns 59 goals in his young career after 38 as a rookie last season. Centenary hits the road next weekend to face Warren Wilson College (Feb. 14) and Brevard College (Feb. 15).
