Sophomore DH Turner Mclelland (Minden, La.) had a big series at the plate for the Diamond Gents as he helped lead them to a series sweep at home over Ozarks and a berth into the SCAC Tournament. Mclelland had a career day in a 16-6 run-rule win on Saturday as he went 2-3 with a pair of home runs, including his first-career grand slam, and six RBI with three runs scored and a walk. Mclelland belted his grand slam in the fifth inning and followed with a two-run homer in the sixth. His six RBI are tied for the second-most in a game in Centenary program history in the D3 era and his two homers in a game are tied for first.
