Centenary Softball Complex

The Centenary Softball Complex has evolved into one of the finest collegiate playing venues in the region after recent renovations. The Ladies are proud to call the Centenary Softball Complex home and the softball program wishes to thank everyone who made the improvements possible.

A new scoreboard was installed prior to the 2018 season. For 2019, prior to Centenary hosting the 2019 Softball Tournament, including: A 10' outfield fence with a windcreeen, new field lights, new LED scoreboard, a new home bullpen adjacent to the dugout, a new reconfigured stadium style spectator seating area, an upgraded infield playing surface, and a new outfield warning track.

In renovations completed in 2008, the complex offered brand new dugouts, a new backstop with netting, and a reconfigured visitor's bullpen. The facility also includes a lighted and covered three-tunnel batting cage, and a dual home bullpen. Restrooms and a concession stand for the fans are located just steps from the bleachers at Virginia's Place.

Centenary hosted the 2007 Mid-Continent Conference Softball Tournament, and prior to the big event, a new brick backstop was built. The old chain-link fence was removed and the new backstop was designed to go from dugout to dugout. It sports a classic brick look on the outside that faces the fans and the inside is painted green to blend in better with the field. Netting was hung to protect the fans, but it also provides better viewing as the netting is thinner than the old fence.

Phase two of the softball field project began in the fall of 2007 when the dugouts were torn down to make way for two new ones. The newly designed dugouts are longer and deeper to accommodate more space for the teams. The home dugout also has a storage unit affixed to the south side of it. Both dugouts are lighted, have beautiful new benches, helmet and bat racks, and were painted Centenary maroon on the inside.

The dugouts were not only widened and lengthened, but set to a new angle to allow fans in the bleachers an optimal view from their seats.
