
Women's Basketball Faces Colorado College This Weekend at Home
The Centenary women's basketball team returns home this weekend to face Colorado College in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play beginning on Friday with the tip scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Gold Dome.

Centenary (0-6) has been on the road in SCAC play the last two weekends, at Schreiner and Dallas. The Ladies fell to the Crusaders in Irving last Saturday, 68-45, in their most recent game. Centenary dropped a 70-63 decision the day before. Three of the Ladies' losses this season have been by single digits. The Tigers (3-1) split a pair of games at home last weekend against Southwestern in SCAC play. Colorado College went 2-0 at Trinity to open its season last month.
Freshman guard Addy Tremie (Sulphur, La.) had a superb weekend against the Crusaders as she scored in double figures in both games, posting 14 points on 7 of 16 shooting in 35 minutes on Saturday. Tremie matched her career high of 18 on Friday, a mark she has reached three times this season. She added three rebounds, two assists, and two steals on Saturday and is now averaging 14.4 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. Tremie ranks fifth in the SCAC in scoring and three-point field goals made.
Sophomore forward Amelia Bagwell (West Monroe, La.) had a great weekend versus Dallas. She scored seven points and had 11 rebounds on Saturday, one day after setting a new career high with 12. She also had three assists and a pair of blocks on Saturday. Bagwell ranks 10th in the conference in rebounds per game, averaging 6.7, and ranks fifth in offensive rebounds, as she averages 2.8 per game. The Ladies and Tigers are both strong the board, as both teams rank in the top five in rebounding offense as CC ranks third (45.5/game) and Centenary is fifth at 40.2/game.
The Ladies are off next weekend and then back on the road Feb. 19-20 to face Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Centenary closes the regular season at home on Feb. 26-27 versus St. Thomas.
