Jackson, Miss. - The Centenary men's and women's track and field teams completed a successful day of competition on Saturday in the Belhaven University Invitational at the Belhaven Track and Field Complex.

Freshman Mackenzie Haley (Orange, Texas) had Centenary's best finish of the meet as she placed fifth in the high jump (1.35m). Senior Maddie Schonberg (Harbor City, Calif.) finished 10th in the discus (27.45m) and 12th in the shot put (8.64m).
Junior Aubrey Salazar (San Antonio, Texas) finished 12th in the discus (25.97m) and senior Nyla Pierce (Ruston, La.) finished 19th in the discus (16.35m). Salazar finished 10th in the shot put (8.84m).
Freshman Herman Pride (Baton Rouge, La.) finished 17th in the long jump (5.49m), 26th in the 100-meter dash (11.62) and 28th in the 200 meters (23.79). Freshman Bryan Washington (Wylie, Texas) placed 11th in the 400 meters (51.22) and 17th in the 200 meters (22.84).
Freshman Christian Cormier (Lafayette, La.) finished 22nd in the 100-meter dash (11.36) and senior Coby Harris (Lafayette, La.) placed 24th in the 100 meters (11.44) and 27th in the 200 meters (23.74).
Centenary returns to action on Saturday, April 6 at the Pelican Relays in Baton Rouge.
