Flowood, Miss. – The Centenary men's and women's swimming teams opened their 2019-20 seasons on Friday with a sweep of Millsaps in a dual meet at the University Wellness Center – Lakeland in Flowood outside of Jackson, Miss.
The women won, 94-70 and the men won by a count of 61-47. The meet was the first hosted by Millsaps in program history as swimming was recently added as a sport by the Majors. Centenary claimed victories in 17 of Friday's 26 total events.
Next up for Centenary is the Hendrix Classic in Conway, Ark. Nov. 1-2. Millsaps will make the return trip to Shreveport and be the opponent for The Maroon and White's home opener on Nov. 8 in a meet set for 5 p.m. Centenary will then host the annual Alumni/Intrasquad Meet on Nov. 9 at 11 a.m.
