Ladies Finish Fourth In Linda Lowery Invitational

Spicewood, Texas - The Centenary women's golf team finished in fourth place in the 2021 Linda Lowery Invitational on Tuesday at the Lakecliff Golf Club.

The Ladies, playing their third tournament in the last eight days, shot a 99-over par 383 in Tuesday's final round to finish with a two-day total of 760 after an opening round 93-over 377 on Monday, their lowest round of the season.

Junior Abigail Hayes (Plano, Texas) and senior Shannon Orlopp (Rogers, Ark.) each shot a 22-over 166 for the tournament to tie for 10th place. Junior Lindsay Strohm (McKinney, Texas) shot a 108 on Tuesday after a 104 on Monday to finish 22nd with a 212 total and freshman Madison Wing (Shreveport) shot a 109 on Tuesday after a 107 on Monday to post a 216 total and finished 23rd.

East Texas Baptist University claimed the team title, shooting a 44-over par 612 to finish 23 shots ahead of second-place host Concordia (67-over par 635). LeTourneau finished third at 118-over par 686. Concordia's Madyson Milliorn claimed the individual title as she shot a 4-over par 146.

Next up for the Ladies is the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship scheduled for April 19-20 in Blanco, Texas.
