Women's Soccer To Face Louisiana College Monday At Home

Shreveport – The Centenary women's soccer team steps out of conference play on Monday as the Ladies face the Louisiana College Wildcats in a match set for 5 p.m. at Mayo Field.

The Ladies (11-1) defeated St. Thomas, 2-1, on Friday at home in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The Maroon and White are currently third in the SCAC standings at 3-1, just behind second-place Dallas (4-0). Trinity leads the way at 5-0.

Louisiana College (1-12-1) a member of the American Southwest Conference, has lost nine straight matches entering Monday's action. The Ladies defeated the Wildcats, 3-2, last season in Pineville and are 9-3 all-time against them.

The Ladies are 6-0 at home this season and have outscored the opposition 13-4. Centenary is enjoying its most successful season since winning 10 games in 2011. Centenary's potent offense has scored 30 goals this season and added 25 assists. The Ladies rank second in the conference in assists, goals, points, and goals per game and third in shots.

Senior Migui Boldrin (Ribeiaro, Brazil) leads the SCAC in goals (12), points (28), shots (63), and goals per game and shots per game and ranks second in points per game. She is also tied for first in game-winning goals with four.

Fellow senior and Shreveport native Kyra Montes has five goals and seven assists this season in just seven games played. She leads the conference in both assists per game and points per game and ranks in the top five in goals per game, points, and assists. She has added three game-winning goals herself to rank third in the SCAC.
