Golf Teams Finish Second In Match Against Southern University

Alexandria, La. - The Centenary men's and women's golf teams finished second on Monday in a dual match against Southern University at Oakwing Golf Club.

Centenary and Southern each played 18 holes in a "winner take all" match as the top four scores counted. The men played a Par 72 layout with a yardage of 7,043 while the women were tested by a Par 72, 5,819 yard-layout.

The Ladies shot an 85-over par 373 while the Lady Jaguars won with a 26-over par 314. The Gents shot a 21-over par 309 while the Jaguars shot a winning score of 8-over par 296.

Next up for the Ladies is the "Bash at the Bend" on Oct. 21-22 at Cypress Bend Resort in Many, La.

The Gents return to action in the Crusader Cup hosted by the University of Dallas on Oct. 28-29 in Fort Worth, Texas which the Ladies will also play in.
