Rostro Named to WGCA All-American Scholar List

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – In an announcement made by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), junior Erin Rostro was named to the All-American Scholars list for the 2017-18 season.

"Erin is a quiet, behind-the-scenes type of person who gets her work done on her own. This award clearly shows her hard work is paying off," said Centenary Golf head coach Emlyn Aubrey. "She has been in the shadows of some of our upperclassmen. Now that they have graduated, I look for her to step up and really lead this team by continuing to set a good example of both good schoolwork and competitiveness on the golf course."

Rostro, a business administration major with a concentration in finance, recently finished her second season with Ladies Golf. At the 2018 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, she finished 21st.

The selection criteria for the All-American Scholar Team for women's golf are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, as student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. Across all three NCAA Divisions, 1,011 student-athletes were recognized.

Rostro was one of only eight student-athletes from the SCAC honored by the WGCA.
