Varner Takes Third Tournament Win, Fifth SCAC Golfer of the Week Acolade

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced Wednesday, September 20, that junior Ladies golfer Jessica Varner has been named SCAC Women's Golfer of the Week.

In winning the Louisiana College Fall Invite Tuesday, Varner has now won the last two collegiate competitions she has played in (the 2017 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in the spring). She also carded a college career best two-round total of 148 (+4) to win the tournament by 134 strokes.

As a team, the Ladies finished runner-up to LeTourneau.

The Ladies golf team returns to action next week, September 25-26, at the annual UT Tyler Al Jones Memorial.
